Dr. Ramon Gonzalez

Dr. Ramon Gonzalez brings more than two decades of experience and passion as an international innovative educational leader to his role as a Professor of the Practice of educational leadership and policy studies at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education & Human Development.

His research interests include entrepreneurial school leadership, flexible school calendars, literacy initiatives, and resource allocation.

Previously, Dr. Gonzalez served as the founding principal of the Laboratory School of Finance and Technology in New York City, where he founded two schools and mentored over 100 aspiring leaders. His school won the only academic math prize awarded to a NYC school in the last 30 years, the prestigious National Intel Math Finalist Award

Dr. Gonzalez’s work expanding school days and youth development has been featured by national media outlets including the New York Times and PBS. He is a certified executive coach through Columbia Business School.

He has been recognized with numerous awards, including National Principal of the Year, NYC Master Principal, the White House Champions of Change award, and the Smithsonian Magazine’s Latinos Leaders 37 Under 37 list. Dr. Gonzalez brings extensive experience in driving student equity, empowerment, and opportunity.

Dr. Reginald Landeau, Jr.

Dr. Reginald Landeau Jr.,  celebrated Principal of George J. Ryan Middle School 216 and an unwavering advocate for educational excellence, has dedicated three decades to New York City’s public school system, rising from a Paraprofessional to an influential Master Principal.

Under his visionary leadership, MS 216Q transformed from being the district’s lowest-performing school to its top middle school, garnering accolades including the coveted US Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon Schools Award and seeing Dr. Landeau honored with the Terrel H. Bell National Award for Outstanding School Leadership.

A passionate coach and influential voice, he has mentored educators into leadership roles, served as President of the Black Caucus of the Council of Supervisors and Administrators, and has been a speaker at esteemed conferences. He has been recognized by the NY Times and Wall Street Journal.

An accomplished keynote speaker, Dr. Landeau has presented at two NYC Chancellor Conference, American Middle Level Educators Annual Conferences, and St. John’s University’s Commencement.

Edward Tom has spent the last 27 years working tirelessly to make education accessible and innovative for thousands of students.

As the former Superintendent of Schools for the Icahn Charter Schools in New York City, Edward demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and proficiency.

The impressive results he achieved at the Bronx Center for Science and Mathematics High School (BCSM), are indeed remarkable. BCSM is located in the South Bronx and serves students from the poorest congressional district in the United StatesIt has earned a place in the top 5% of high schools in New York City and America, as ranked by the U.S. News & World Report.

Edward’s efforts have resulted in over ten million dollars in merit scholarships for college and universities.

His hands-on leadership style was highlighted in a PBS documentary called “Whatever it Takes” which chronicled BCSM’s first cohort and their impressive 92% per year graduation rate.

Edward is a certified executive coach through Columbia University, which gives him the unique opportunity to train and expand the pool of highly trained transformational school leaders across the United States and globally.
